Fizzback played a major part in a global industry debate featuring leaders in the telecommunications, media and entertainment industries.  Taking place in the glorious setting of Goodwood House, delegates included Tim Richards, CEO of VUE Entertainment, Ashley Stockwell, Virgin Media’s MD of Brand, Giles Rhys Jones, Ogilvy’s Director of Interactive, Osman Kent, CEO of Songphonic Records, and a host of others.

Themes discussed included the future evolution of telecommunications, the impact of the environment, the future of media and entertainment and the ever present dynamics of innovation and disruption.  An intimate, hand-picked gathering of around one hundred executives, the summit strives to be as interactive as possible, tapping into the minds of leaders in converging industries to drive progress.  Fizzback captured the comments and views of the delegates, immediately alerting the organisers who constantly sought to refine content and flow, ensuring the event was valuable and productive.

Fizzback CEO Rob Keve took part in a session entitled “Innovation in Marketing”, advocating increasing need to seek consumer input as part of a two-way dialogue during the marketing and advertising process, as opposed to just telling people what to think.  Rob’s views were echoed by fellow panelist Giles Rhys Jones from Ogilvy, who gave some great examples of interactive campaigns that take audience engagement to the next level.

Delegates were treated to dinner in Goodwood House featuring a fascinating and entertaining speech by the Earl of March and Kinara who manages the family seat, Goodwood estate.  The Earl has continued the horseracing tradition of “Glorious Goodwood”, one of the highlights of the flat racing season in England and he is also a motor racing enthusiast, creating the “Goodwood Festival of Speed” in 1993 and “The Goodwood Revival” in 1998 as annual events.

As evidenced by the Fizzback presented by conference director Ralph Cochrane during day two, delegates found the whole experience entertaining, thought provoking and productive, not least through the networking opportunities.  Who knows what innovations may come to light as a result!
